Release Details
This release brings a mix of valuable updates all aimed at making everyday work smoother across the system. There’s some handy stuff packed in this month, and even the lighter-touch improvements can have a real impact. You’ll find a full breakdown below.
1. Realtime Subcontractor Updates 🔍️
First up, visibility across subcontracted jobs just took a big leap forward. Main contractors can now track exactly what's happening in real time – with full access to live visit statuses and live engineer tracking on the map for subcontractors who use our mobile application (app) with the subcontractor portal.
New features include:
A Live Tracking tab for map views showing subcontractor engineers on the move.
Realtime updates on visit statuses as they progress.
Improved status syncing between the subcontractor and main contractor accounts.
Why is this beneficial? Subcontracted work can sometimes feel like a black hole – updates can be delayed, visibility can sometimes get patchy, and your service desk ends up chasing manually. With this update, you get true transparency across both teams, reducing calls and improving service all-round. ✉️📱
For more details on job’s and visits within the subcontractor portal, check out our user guides on this here.
2. Reset Customer Portal Passwords from the Back Office 🔑
Say goodbye to support tickets for simple password resets. Back-office users can now send a secure reset password link directly to any Customer Portal user from their own user accounts.
New features include:
A "Reset Password" button added to the Customer Portal User screen.
Sends a secure, one-time-use reset link valid for 24 hours.
Adds a clear audit trail of who sent the reset and when.
Why is this beneficial? When customer portal users get locked out, raising and waiting on tickets for our team slows everyone down. Now, your service team can sort access issues instantly and securely, directly with their customers – no further support needed. ⏳🎧

3. Locking Reactive Job Visit Dates ❌️🔒
Service Desk teams can now lock reactive job visits, preventing accidental reschedules. Once locked, visits can only be changed by users with permission.
New features include:
A new "Lock Date & Time" checkbox on reactive job visits.
Locked visits can't be dragged, dropped, or rescheduled on the planner.
Why is this beneficial? This helps you protect agreed time slots, hit SLAs (service level agreements), and avoid costly errors when visit slots are inadvertently moved. It’s a great one for protecting critical jobs and time-sensitive work. ⚡️

4. Site-to-Engineer Distance View in Live Tracking 🗺️
And last up, you can now get help with faster, smarter scheduling decisions. We've added distance and estimated travel time between job sites and engineers in the Live Tracking view.
New features include:
Live view of estimated travel duration from engineer to site.
Uses the Site Address on the job to calculate proximity.
Integrated into the Job Address Map and Route Scheduler.
Why is this beneficial? Service desk users can now more quickly identify who’s actually closest, improving response time and reducing travel inefficiencies. Ideal for reactive or same-day jobs. ⏱️🚗

🔧 Improvements
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the Joblogic platform, this release also introduces several key improvements designed to streamline user workflows and provide additional flexibility. Please read on to discover how these improvements can help you work more efficiently and effectively.
Asset Tags in PPM Document Templates 🏷️
You can now use new tags like @@AssetLocation@@, @@AssetClass@@, and @@CustomerOrderNumber@@ in Asset-Based PPM (Planned preventative Maintenance) contract templates. These pull dynamic information straight into your client-facing documents
This makes your documentation cleaner, more automated and less prone to manual error, giving clients the right info, in the right place, every time for Asset Based PPM Contracts 📄
Asset & Task Compliance by Individual Statuses 📊
A new setting allows you to split compliance reports by each Asset or Task status, rather than showing only overall job status
This gives clearer insight into what’s been completed, what’s overdue, and what still needs doing. It’s a great one for customers managing complex compliance across many assets. ✅
P.O Part Price Update Setting ⚙️
There’s now a system-level option to control whether part price updates from Purchase Orders (P.O’s) automatically overwrite the existing part price in your library
This gives your procurement team more control over price management — especially helpful when dealing with fluctuating supplier rates or specialist items 💷
Improved Mobile Time Tracking 2.0 ⏱️
In our last release we introduced a new setting which when switched on meant that whenever an engineer taps a mobile status (such as "On Site"), the time of the initial tap would be captured in the back-office, even if there’s a delay due to on arrival form completions
This great tool leads to more accurate reporting, especially where mandatory forms are in place and reflects the real start of work, not just when the paperwork’s done
We’ve now set the foundations for this within the back-office for the Quick Complete and Route Scheduler areas of the system so be sure to check this out when the mobile app catches up next week 📲
Searchable PPM Attachments in Customer Portal 🔍
Attachments added to PPM contracts are now searchable by filename in the Customer Portal, making it easier for your clients to find the right documents
This improves customer experience and helps make your customer portal feel more self-service 📁
Bug Fixes 🛠️
At Joblogic, we strive to ensure everything runs seamlessly, which is why we quickly address any bugs that arise 🐞. Below are the latest issues that have been fixed in this release:
Form Loading Issue in Dynamic Matrix Forms: There was an issue with dynamic matrix forms failing to load when field names contained ‘system-reserved’ prefixes. This has now been fixed, and affected forms will load as expected going forward.
Unexpected Logouts After Session Timeouts: Some users were being logged out of the system without warning after 30 minutes of inactivity. This issue has now been resolved, and users can now continue using the system smoothly after idle periods.
Incorrect Sorting Results in PPM Lists: PPM lists that had already been sorted/filtered would forget the filter upon refreshing the page. This has now been corrected so that both the order and results display reliably.
Layout Issue with Long Purchase Order Descriptions: Long descriptions in purchase orders were obscuring other columns in the table view. This layout issue has now been addressed so that all fields are visible, regardless of description lengths.
Back-Office Sync Failures for Job Statuses: In some cases, completed job statuses updated via the mobile app were not syncing correctly to the back-office. This bug has now been fixed ensuring that all job statuses are fully reflected in both tools.
Incorrect Trigger Time in Report Scheduler: Reports scheduled to run at 00:01 were miscalculating the next run date in UK based regions. This has been fixed, and scheduled reports now calculate based on the correct trigger time.
Subcontractor Visit Completions Not Updating the Main Job: Main jobs were not being marked as completed when all linked subcontractor visits were finished. The subcontractor portal has now been updated so that main job statuses reflect subcontractor visit completions accurately.
Mismatches Between Filtered Quotes and Export Counts: Filtered quote results were not matching the correct totals when exported from the system. This issue has now been resolved so that exported data accurately reflects the true data.
Incorrect User Stated on PPM Quote Notes After Upgrades: When quotes were being upgraded into contracts, any associated notes were being incorrectly attributed to the upgrading user. This has now been fixed and the original author and timestamp on PPM quote notes will show correctly.
Inactive SOR Items Causing Job Cost Failures: Jobs containing inactive Schedule of Rates items were failing to display costing data. This bug has now been corrected so that inactive but valid SOR items no longer cause any overall costing issues.
Thank you for your patience as we worked through these fixes and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. If you encounter any additional issues, please let our support team know. 📞
