1. Multi-Currency and Project Management Integration 🌍📊
Our Projects and Multi-Currency marketplace apps now work seamlessly together, giving project and finance teams greater visibility and control over currency conversions throughout the full project lifecycle. This includes quotes, jobs, costs, invoices and profitability reporting.
This update ensures that projects involving international customers or subcontractors can be managed in both your system’s base currency and the customer’s preferred currency, without manual conversion or ambiguity. It’s an essential update for businesses operating across borders or working with multi-national clients.
New features include:
1. A New Currency Dropdown in the Project Header
A new currency selector has been added to each project, allowing users to assign the relevant billing currency per project. This sets the foundation for multi-currency workflows across the board.
2. Exchange Rate Display and Override
System-generated exchange rates are displayed for transparency, with the ability to override the rate, if needed to ensure both accuracy and flexibility.
3. Dual Currency Visibility Across the Project Lifecycle
Converted and base values are now shown side-by-side in the following areas:
a. Project quotes and jobs
b. Job costs and P.Os (Purchase orders)
c. Invoice listings
d. Profitability reporting and overviews
4. Profitability View with Dual Currency Support
All cost and margin tracking tools now support multi-currency values, allowing project managers to see base vs converted profit margins clearly at a glance.
5. Currency-Specific Invoicing
Invoices raised from multi-currency projects now reflect the chosen project currency by default, ensuring consistency in billing, exports, and documentation.
Why is this beneficial?
Previously, managing projects in multiple currencies meant relying on manual conversion, leading to potential errors, confusion and difficulty reconciling reports. With this integration, you now get:
📈 Improved financial accuracy across all project components
💼 Confident quoting and invoicing in customer-preferred currencies
🔍 Transparent cost/profit tracking in both system and foreign currency
🧾 Compliance-ready exports for international transactions
This is a major step forward for businesses delivering complex projects across borders. And as more international workflows are adopted, this foundation will support even more currency-aware features in future.

2. Log Project Jobs via Template or Recent Job 🛠️📋
There’s now a faster way to create new jobs from an existing job or template, directly from within a Project.
This enhancement introduces smarter job creation options inside Project Jobs. Rather than starting from scratch each time, you can now log new jobs based on:
A saved template
A recently logged job
This not only speeds things up but helps standardise recurring job types across Projects.
New features include:
- Two streamlined creation paths:
a. From Template – Use a pre-configured job template to instantly populate key fields
b. From Recent Job – Clone details from a recently logged job within the same project
Key fields such as customer, site, job type, and linked assets auto-fill based on your selection
Supports faster project job creation without repetitive data entry
Why this is beneficial:
This addition reduces admin time, helps ensure consistency across similar project jobs and simplifies repeat job creation. It’s especially helpful for high-volume project work or repeatable job scopes. 🛠️➕

3. Project Variations for Time & Material Projects 🧾⚙️
We mentioned in our last Projects Release that our useful Project Variation feature (previously only available for fixed price projects) would be updated for time and material ones too. Well, the wait is over! You can now fully manage variation jobs within time and material projects, offering the same clarity and auditability available in fixed price workflows.
This update lets you mark project jobs as variations, specify how they impact your project value and group them for easier oversight, all while keeping the core time and material project logic intact.
New features include:
A “Mark as Variation” option within time and material project job actions
A new ‘Variations’ tab in the project screen, collecting all variation jobs in one view
Variation types include:
a. Positive Inclusions (adds to project value)
b. Negative (reduces value)
c. Not Included (no impact, for visibility only)Batch processing – apply variation tags to multiple jobs at once
Removal tools – easily reverse variation status if the scope changes
A “Has Variations” filter on the Project listing screen for quick access
Updated project summary views to reflect variation breakdowns
All variation jobs display key info such as; type, value and inclusion status at a glance
Why this is beneficial:
Until now, Time and Material Projects didn’t support structured variation workflows, leaving project managers to track changes manually or offline. This update changes that by:
Giving full visibility of extra or adjusted work within time and material scopes
Separating variation values from base job costs where needed
Making billing, reporting and client communications more transparent
Reducing admin by letting you track variations in one go
It’s a much clearer way to handle project changes, especially in high-volume, time-based work and sets the foundation for even more flexible project controls moving forward. 📊✏️ ️
