Direct Sales and Serialised Stock merge

1. Direct Sales and Serialised Stock enhancements📋

Our Direct Sales Serialised Stock apps now support one another! Managing traceable goods through Direct Sales just got a whole lot smarter. We’ve introduced enhancements that connect the Direct Sales module with Serialised Stock, giving teams better visibility and control over exactly what’s being sold and where it came from.

Whether you're selling specialist parts or high-value equipment, you can now assign specific serials at the point of sale, ensuring full traceability from stock to invoice. It’s a big win for compliance, auditability, and aftercare tracking. 🧾

New features include:

  • Serialised stock selection is now required when selling items that have serials assigned (including both parts and equipment).

  • The system prompts users to choose from available serial numbers during the Direct Sales workflow making traceability part of your everyday process.

  • Serial numbers are automatically marked as issued once the sale is processed, keeping your inventory up to date in real time.

  • You can also now import serial numbers via CSV into stock locations, using a new dedicated Serial Number column

  • Validation checks and error messages have been introduced to help catch formatting issues or duplicate serials when importing

  • A handy tooltip has been added during CSV import, guiding users on the correct file format and structure for serialised stock

Note: Applicable features only apply when both the Direct Sales and Serialised Stock Marketplace Apps have each been subscribed to.

Why is this beneficial?
This update brings clarity and control to teams managing high-value or regulated items. You’ll know exactly which serials have been sold, to whom, and when. It supports better aftercare, warranty validation, and makes internal stock audits far more accurate. 🔍📦

Projects module updates

1. Project payment summary panel 📊

A new payment summary panel has been added to the Project Summary page, making it easier to understand how much has been invoiced and claimed through payment applications at a glance. This gives project managers and finance teams quicker visibility of total billing progress without needing to run reports.

New features include:

  • A dedicated panel now shows:
  1. Total value of raised payment applications
  2. Total value of approved and sent invoices
  • Values reflect the cumulative totals across all linked work and billing.

  • The display is live and updates automatically as new claims or invoices are added

Why is this beneficial?
Previously, understanding total billed amounts required digging into separate tabs or reports. Now, with a clear visual of both payment claims and invoicing, teams can stay on top of billing without the back-and-forth. 💷📈

2. Credit limit enforcement for new projects 🚫

To support tighter financial controls, we’ve introduced the ability to set a credit limit for customers and enforce it when new projects are being created. This helps ensure work isn't authorised for customers who are already over their agreed spend threshold.

New features include:

  • A Credit Limit field has been added to the customer - base configuation area

  • If a customer’s project value exceeds their credit limit, users are:

  1. Blocked from creating new projects

  2. Blocked from upgrading quotes into projects

  • A new permission allows authorised users to override this if required.

Why is this beneficial?
This update reduces financial risk by ensuring new work isn’t progressed where customer accounts are overdrawn, unless authorised. It helps your teams strike the right balance between service and sensible credit control. 💳⚠️

You can now raise related quotes straight from your project jobs, making it much easier to scope and quote changes directly in context. Whether it’s a variation, additional work or something unexpected, this keeps your quoting workflow more joined up.

New features include:

  • A new “Log Related Quote” option is now available on any project job.

  • Selecting this opens the quote screen, prefilled with the correct customer and site details.

  • Once the quote is approved and upgraded to a job, it is automatically placed back into the same project

  • Admin users can view and track all quotes and jobs linked to a project job, making history and oversight much easier to manage.

Why is this beneficial?
Previously, quoting for changes on a project job meant starting from scratch or working around disconnected records. Now, your service delivery team can quickly raise related quotes straight from where the work is scoped and view links back, keeping everything smooth and connected. It’s a more efficient way to handle project variations and extra quoted works 🔁📋

4. Net invoice totals on project summary💰

We’ve updated how invoice totals are shown on the Project Summary page, making them credit aware. That means credit notes are now factored into the totals giving you a clearer picture of the net revenue generated by each project.

New features include:

  • The total invoice value now shows as a net figure, deducting any approved credit notes.

  • This net figure is also reflected in project exports.

Why is this beneficial?
By showing invoicing data that reflects real income (after credits), finance teams and project leads get a more accurate read on project profitability. 📉📄

5. Auto-include project quote parts in POs 📦💰

You can now automatically carry over parts listed in a quote to the corresponding purchase order (PO) when upgrading, saving time and helping ensure accuracy when placing orders for project work.

New features include:

  • When upgrading an approved quote to a job, any listed parts against the quote are now automatically added to the PO creation screen

  • The parts and their quantities pull through as prefilled items, removing the need to manually add them again

  • Users can review, adjust or remove any of the suggested parts before finalising the PO

  • We’ve also updated the user interface (UI) on the upgrade projects quote page, making it more clear and easier on the eye with regards to project jobs creation

Why is this beneficial?

Previously, even when parts were fully scoped and quoted, you had to manually re-enter the details when raising a PO, adding duplication and risk of errors. This new flow ensures consistency between quoting and purchasing while speeding up procurement. It’s a smart time-saver for project managers, engineers and purchasing teams alike 📋🛠️
