Mobile Release: Week Commencing 13th January 2025

Features scheduled for release from 13/01/25 via a staged roll out. This means that changes may not take effect on the mobile application (app) straight away but the latest version including the new changes can be manually downloaded from the App/Play store (Version 1.164.0 on both IOS and Android), if required. The functionality detailed will not be available in any version of the mobile application until this date. However, please note that this is an ETA and may be subject to change.

1. Job approval

• Enhance control and consistency between your mobile app and Back Office with the new job approval feature!
• Now, when logging jobs from the mobile app, if the selected Job Type is marked as "Requires Approval" in system settings, the job will automatically require approval in the Back Office upon completion.
• These jobs will appear in the relevant tabs on the ALL JOBS screen, under "Require Approval" and "Approved.”
• With this update, you can ensure consistent job management across platforms while maintaining strict control over mandatory job approvals! ✅

2. Timestamp Management for Site Visits

• Following last week’s back-office update for permissions, we’ve now updated the mobile app to allow only relevant engineers to edit times as needed.
• Engineers will only be able to edit the following if permissions are granted for each:
  • Visit Accept Date
  • Travel Site Date
  • On Site Date
  • Complete Visit Date
  • Travel Home Date
  • At Home Date
  • Leave Site Date
  • Abort Site Date
• This ensures flexibility while maintaining control over who can make edits. 🎉

Bug fixes

• The Travel Home button in the mobile app now functions correctly.
• Mandatory forms now display properly on Android devices as per the system configuration.
• Images now display correctly in edit mode on electronic forms.
• Users can now add attachments without issues.
• The issue causing duplicate jobs when logging a job from the mobile app has been resolved.
