Mobile Release: Week Commencing 28th July 2025

  1. Improved Mobile Time Tracking 2.0 📲⏱️

Release Details:

In our last couple JL Web releases we’ve introduced the foundations of a useful new update to the back-office; Improved Mobile Time Tracking and it’s 2.0 update. This mobile release brings the app up to speed with regards to the Quick Complete and Routine Scheduler areas of the system as we’ve now finished all the updates on the mobile side, allowing for this useful new tool to work all-round. Improved Mobile Time Tracking 2.0 📲⏱️

This mobile update brings a useful enhancement to mobile time tracking. If you turn the setting on, whenever an engineer selects a job status (like "On Site") from the mobile app, the system captures the exact time of the initial tap (as opposed to the time the that the status is saved after completing on arrival electronic forms). This great new function was previously only available against regular job statuses updates but with this release it’s now available for visit statues updated via the Quick Complete and Route scheduler tools too!

Key Features Include:

When an engineer taps a status via the Quick complete or Route Scheduler tools, that initial tap time is now recorded immediately

This happens even when mandatory forms are in place — no more waiting for submission to capture time on-site times

It applies to any mobile status that includes required forms after selection.

💡 Why this matters:

This update ensures that the system reflects the real-time arrival and status change update in every area, giving you a more accurate record of job activity for those completed via regular status updates but also those done through the Quick Complete and Route Scheduler tools. It’s especially useful for customers tracking SLAs (service level agreements) or working under compliance conditions, where every minute counts. No more time lost in form lag all-round! ⏱️

Bug Fixes

  • Engineers can now successfully submit asset-specific forms for all jobs – even those that were previously causing issues.
  • On Android (version 1.169.0), you can once again long-press to copy order numbers – just like before.
  • We’ve tidied up some wording in the app – “Create By” now correctly shows as “Created By” in notes and attachments.
  • Accessing web pages from the mobile app is now smoother. If you’re logged in, you’ll go straight through. If your session has expired, you’ll be sent to the login screen as expected.
