Introduction
The Bulk Job Update app provides a quick and efficient way to update multiple jobs at the same time, eliminating the need to edit each job individually. By exporting filtered jobs to a template, making your changes, and uploading the completed file, you can apply updates to multiple records in just a few steps.
This is particularly useful for large-scale administrative tasks, such as updating customer order numbers, rescheduling jobs, or making changes across multiple contracts. By reducing manual data entry, the app helps improve efficiency, minimise errors, and ensure job information remains accurate and consistent.
This guide explains how to configure permissions for the Bulk Job Update feature and how to export, edit, and upload job data using the Bulk Job Update tool.
Permissions
Access to the Bulk Job Update feature can be controlled using user permissions.
By default, the permission is enabled for Administrator users.
To manage access for other users, navigate to Settings > Staff, edit the required user, and configure the Jobs - Bulk Update permission.

Only fields containing new or amended values will be updated. Blank cells or values that haven't changed are ignored, ensuring existing data isn't overwritten unnecessarily.
After the upload has been processed, you'll receive a notification confirming whether the import was successful.

If any records fail to import, you'll be directed to Settings > History of Imports, where you can review the import results and view any validation errors. Once you've corrected the issues in your template, you can upload it again.
