Release Details

1. Multi-Currency & Carriage Apportionment Compatibility

Purchase Orders and related Purchase Invoices now provide improved Multi-Currency support when the Multi-Currency Marketplace App is enabled and valid currency conversion data is available.

This allows purchase documents to be created, viewed and edited with values displayed in both the base currency and transaction currency, providing greater visibility when managing purchases in foreign currencies.

Converted Values and Tags

Converted monetary values are now available throughout Purchase Orders and Purchase Invoices, including line values, discounts, VAT, totals and, where applicable, carriage.

New converted tags are available for use in Purchase Order and Purchase Invoice templates:

  • @@Line_ConvertedListPrice@@
  • @@Line_ConvertedTotalExclVATAndDiscount@@
  • @@ConvertedTotalExclVAT@@
  • @@ConvertedTotalDiscountAmount@@
  • @@ConvertedTotalVATAmount@@

Existing converted tags continue to work as before. VAT Rate (%) remains unchanged as it is a percentage rather than a monetary value.

Carriage Apportionment

Where the Carriage Apportionment Marketplace App is also enabled, carriage values can now be displayed in the transaction currency.

New converted carriage tags include:

  • @@Line_ConvertedCarriageCost@@
  • @@Line_ConvertedPriceAfterCarriage@@
  • @@ConvertedTotalCarriageCost@@
  • @@ConvertedGrandTotal@@

The converted carriage values use the existing apportioned carriage amounts, ensuring the carriage and final total remain consistent after conversion.

Purchase Order and Invoice Screens

Converted values are now displayed dynamically on Purchase Order and Purchase Invoice create, edit, detail and list screens, with the relevant currency code shown alongside each value.

Converted values are only displayed when Multi-Currency is enabled and valid conversion data is available. Where the document uses the base currency, the existing display remains unchanged.

Unit Cost Calculations

You can now enter a unit cost in either the base currency or transaction currency, with Joblogic automatically calculating the corresponding value using the document's conversion rate.

The base-currency cost remains the accounting and posting value, while changes to quantity, discount, VAT, carriage or the conversion rate automatically update the relevant converted values.

Purchase Order and Invoice Coverage

The enhancement is available across Supplier, Stock, Hire, Multi-Job, Subcontractor and Contract Purchase Orders and their related Purchase Invoices.

When an invoice is created from a Purchase Order, it uses the Purchase Order's currency and rate. Once created, the invoice retains its own saved currency and conversion rate, so subsequent changes to the Purchase Order do not affect the invoice.

2. Purchase Order Line Item – Full Part Number Visibility

The Part selector has been updated to make it easier to identify Parts when adding lines to Purchase Orders.

Part Number Display

The full Part Number is now retained in the Part field and dropdown, even when there is limited space available. Where the combined Part Number and Description cannot fit, the Description is truncated first.

Hovering over the Part field or a dropdown option displays the full Number | Description as a tooltip.

Purchase Order Coverage

The improved display applies to:

  • Stock Purchase Orders
  • Job Purchase Orders
  • Multi Job Purchase Orders
  • Purchase Orders created from templates

Stock Areas

The same Part Number display behaviour has also been improved in relevant Stock areas, including:

  • Add Stock Record
  • Stock Take
  • Assemble Part

This makes it easier to identify the correct Part wherever Parts are selected or added within these areas.
